1. Agreement
These Creator Program Terms (the "Program Terms") govern participation in the SlopSquash creator referral program (the "Program") operated by William Freire, doing business as Slop Squash ("SlopSquash", "we", "us"). They supplement the SlopSquash Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, both of which apply to you as a user of the Service. By submitting an application, you agree to these Program Terms. If these Program Terms conflict with the Terms of Service on a Program matter, these Program Terms control.
2. Definitions
"Creator" means a person whose application has been approved and who has not been removed from the Program. "Referral Link" means the unique URL we issue to a Creator in the form https://slopsquash.com/r/<slug>. "Creator Code" means an optional vanity promotion code issued to an eligible Creator. "Referred Customer" means a brand-new SlopSquash account created by a person who arrived through your Referral Link or entered your Creator Code, and to which our system attributes the referral under Section 5. "Qualifying Sale" means the first payment by a Referred Customer for Pro Monthly or Pro Lifetime that satisfies Section 6. "Paid Amount" means the amount the Referred Customer actually paid for that first payment, after any discount, as recorded by our payment processor. "Commission" means the amount payable to you on a Qualifying Sale under Section 6. "Stripe" means Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates, our payment processor. "Connected Account" means the Stripe Connect Express account that Stripe opens for you when you complete payout onboarding under Section 8. "Payout Email" means the email address you gave us for notices about your Commissions and payouts; we do not send money to it. Payouts are made only to your Connected Account.
3. Eligibility and application
3.1 To apply you must have a SlopSquash account with a verified email address, be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher), and be legally able to receive payments and enter contracts. You must not be located in, or a resident of, a country subject to comprehensive US sanctions.
3.2 Apply through the creator portal at slopsquash.com/creators by providing your display name, the platforms you publish on, your primary channel URL, your approximate audience size, a short pitch, and your Payout Email. We do not ask for bank account or tax details on the application; those are collected by Stripe under Section 8. One application per account. Information you provide must be accurate and current; you must update your Payout Email through the portal or by emailing creators@slopsquash.com if it changes.
3.3 Applications are reviewed in two stages. First, an automated system fetches public metadata from the channel URL you provided and asks a large language model (currently operated by DeepSeek) to recommend approval, rejection, or manual review, with a confidence score and reasons. Second, any application that is not clearly approved or clearly rejected by that system is reviewed by a member of our staff. We aim to decide within three business days. You may ask for human review of any automated decision by emailing creators@slopsquash.com. We may approve or reject any application at our sole discretion and are not obliged to give reasons. Rejected applicants may reapply after 30 days.
3.4 On approval we issue your Referral Link and email you. We may decline to issue a slug that impersonates another person, includes a trademark you do not own, or is misleading or offensive, and we may change your slug with notice if we later determine it does.
4. Referral Links and Creator Codes
4.1 Referral Link. Your Referral Link opens a landing page that shows your display name and the current viewer offer. Visiting it sets a referral cookie in the visitor's browser that lasts 30 days.
4.2 Creator Code. Once you have at least 10 conversions in approved or paid status, the portal lets you apply for a Creator Code. A Creator Code is 4 to 16 uppercase letters and digits, must be unique, and must not be a trademark you do not own, a competitor's name, a misleading term (for example "FREE" or "OFFICIAL"), or offensive. We decide code applications manually and at our discretion. An approved Creator Code is created as a promotion code with our payment processor, restricted to first-time customers, and applies the same discount as your Referral Link. Codes may be revoked under Section 14.
4.3 Switching a Creator Code off and on. You may switch your Creator Code off and on in the creator portal. A code that is switched off is not accepted at checkout, and sales made while it is off are not Qualifying Sales unless the customer is attributed through your Referral Link. A code you switched off yourself can be switched on again at any time.
4.4 Inactivity switch-off. If no purchase is made with your Creator Code for 30 consecutive days, we switch the code off automatically and notify you by email at the address on your account. A code switched off for inactivity can be switched on again only after you have earned at least $5.00 in Commission through your Referral Link on Qualifying Sales that occur after the switch-off date; once you have, the portal lets you switch it on. We may adjust the inactivity period and the reactivation amount by giving you at least 30 days notice under Section 15.
4.5 Ownership. Referral Links and Creator Codes belong to SlopSquash. You may not sell, transfer, or lend them, and you may not create or distribute additional codes or links that purport to be ours.
5. Attribution
5.1 A person is attributed to you if they create a brand-new SlopSquash account within 30 days after visiting your Referral Link (with the referral cookie still present), or if they enter your Creator Code at checkout. Attribution is first-touch: the first Creator whose link or code a person uses wins, and it does not change afterward. Existing accounts cannot be attributed to a Creator.
5.2 We count visits to your Referral Link for your statistics using a salted hash of the visitor's IP address, user agent, and calendar day. Visit counts are informational only and do not earn Commission.
5.3 Attribution is determined solely by our systems. We may decline or reverse attribution where we believe it resulted from a violation of these Program Terms or a technical error.
6. Viewer offer and Commission
6.1 Viewer offer. A Referred Customer receives 30% off the first month of Pro Monthly. The discount applies only to Pro Monthly, only to the first payment, and only to accounts that have never paid us before. It does not apply to Pro Lifetime or to renewals. We may change the viewer offer under Section 15.
6.2 Commission rate. You earn a Commission equal to 30% of the Paid Amount on each Qualifying Sale, rounded down to the whole cent. Commission is earned on the first payment only. Renewals of a Referred Customer's subscription do not earn Commission. A Referred Customer's purchase of Pro Lifetime earns Commission at the same rate even though the viewer discount does not apply to it.
6.3 Worked examples. The examples assume no sales tax is collected.
| Purchase | List price | Discount | Paid Amount | Commission (30%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro Monthly, first month, via your link | $3.00 | 30% | $2.10 | $0.63 |
| Pro Lifetime via your link | $39.00 | None | $39.00 | $11.70 |
| Pro Monthly renewal in month 2 | $3.00 | None | $3.00 | $0.00 (renewals do not earn Commission) |
6.4 Qualifying Sale requirements. A sale qualifies only if: (a) the customer is a Referred Customer under Section 5; (b) it is that customer's first payment to us; (c) the payment succeeds and is recorded by our payment processor; (d) it is not a self-referral or otherwise prohibited under Section 11; and (e) the Referral Link or Creator Code was active at the time of the sale.
6.5 What Commission is based on. Commission is calculated only on money we actually receive. It is not calculated on list price, on amounts refunded, on amounts charged back, or on amounts covered by credits or courtesy grants.
7. Holds, reversals, and suspension
7.1 Hold. Each Commission is held in pending status for 14 days after the Qualifying Sale. After the hold, if the payment has not been refunded or disputed, the Commission becomes approved.
7.2 Reversal. A Commission is reversed, and if already paid may be deducted from future payouts or invoiced to you, if the underlying payment is refunded, charged back, or reversed by our payment processor, or if we determine that the sale did not meet Section 6.4 or resulted from a violation of these Program Terms.
7.3 Refund-rate suspension. If more than 30% of your Qualifying Sales in any rolling 90-day period are refunded, your Referral Link is automatically deactivated and your account is flagged for review. We will contact you. We may reinstate you, keep you suspended, or terminate your participation.
8. Payouts
8.1 Payout onboarding with Stripe. Commissions are paid only through Stripe Connect. Because Stripe charges us for each connected account, the creator portal offers "Set up payouts" once your approved, unpaid Commissions first reach the $20.00 payout minimum in Section 8.2; Commissions earned before then accrue to your balance in the normal way and are paid in your first payout once onboarding is complete. Clicking "Set up payouts" opens a Stripe-hosted onboarding flow in which Stripe verifies your identity (know-your-customer checks), collects your bank account details and your tax information (IRS Form W-9 for US persons or the applicable Form W-8 for non-US persons), and opens a Connected Account for you. To complete onboarding you must accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement at https://stripe.com/connect-account/legal, which is a contract between you and Stripe. SlopSquash never receives, stores, or has access to your identity documents, bank account number, or tax forms; Stripe holds them under its own privacy policy. Stripe may later ask you for more information to keep the Connected Account in good standing, and payouts cannot be made while Stripe reports an outstanding requirement. You are responsible for keeping the information you gave Stripe accurate and current.
8.2 Minimum. We pay approved Commissions once your approved, unpaid balance reaches $20.00. Balances below the minimum roll forward.
8.3 Method and timing. Once a week, on our scheduled payout day, we automatically transfer each Creator's approved, unpaid balance that meets the minimum to that Creator's Connected Account, in US dollars, provided Stripe has enabled the Connected Account for payouts. Stripe then pays the funds to your bank account on the payout schedule of your Connected Account, which you can see in your Stripe Express dashboard (linked from the creator portal). Our transfers draw on funds Stripe has settled to us, so a transfer may lag the underlying customer payment by Stripe's settlement period. Any Stripe fees on your Connected Account, your bank's fees, and currency conversion costs are your responsibility. We may run a payout early, and we may pause a Creator's payouts while an investigation under Section 12 is open.
8.4 Failed or reversed transfers. If a transfer fails or is reversed by Stripe (for example because your Connected Account has been restricted), the Commissions included in it return to approved status and are included in a later payout run once the problem is resolved. We are not liable for delay caused by a Connected Account that Stripe has restricted or that is missing information only you can supply.
8.5 Records. The creator portal shows your clicks, sign-ups, conversions, pending, approved, and paid earnings, and your payout history with the corresponding Stripe transfer. Our records are conclusive absent manifest error. Tell us within 60 days of a payout if you believe it is wrong; after that, the payout is final.
8.6 Tax documentation and forms. Your tax information is collected by Stripe during onboarding, not by us. Where the law requires, Stripe prepares and delivers to you the applicable information return (for US persons, currently Form 1099-NEC) for Commissions paid through your Connected Account, using the information you gave Stripe; you can manage delivery of those forms in your Stripe Express dashboard. Stripe may withhold tax where the law requires. Payouts cannot be made until Stripe reports that your required tax information is complete.
8.7 Incomplete onboarding and forfeiture. If you do not complete Stripe onboarding after it is offered, or your Connected Account is not enabled for payouts, your Commissions continue to accrue but cannot be paid. Commissions that remain unpaid for 12 months after onboarding was first offered to you because you never completed Stripe onboarding are forfeited to the extent permitted by law. We will email your Payout Email and the email address on your account at least 30 days before any forfeiture, telling you what you need to do to keep the balance. If you complete onboarding before the forfeiture date, the full balance is kept and paid in the next payout run that it qualifies for.
9. FTC and advertising disclosure
9.1 You are receiving compensation for referrals, and the law in the United States (the FTC's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, 16 C.F.R. Part 255) and in many other countries requires you to disclose that relationship clearly and conspicuously whenever you promote SlopSquash.
9.2 Every promotion that includes your Referral Link or Creator Code, in any medium (video, stream, post, story, newsletter, podcast, website), must contain a disclosure that is: (a) in plain language, such as "I earn a commission if you subscribe through my link" or "#ad" or "Sponsored"; (b) placed where a viewer will see it before or with the link, not buried in a description that requires clicking "more", a separate page, or the end of a video; (c) audible in audio and video content, not only in text; and (d) in the same language as the promotion.
9.3 Using platform-provided disclosure tools (for example a "paid partnership" label) is encouraged but does not by itself satisfy this Section if the label is not clearly visible to viewers.
9.4 You are solely responsible for complying with all advertising, consumer protection, and disclosure laws that apply to you and your audience. We may require you to correct or remove promotions that do not comply.
10. Promotion standards
10.1 You may describe SlopSquash accurately, using the product descriptions on our website and the marketing materials we provide. You must not:
- claim or imply that SlopSquash detects all AI-generated content, is always accurate, or can prove that a specific person used AI;
- present a Verdict as a fact about a specific person, or use SlopSquash content to accuse, ridicule, or target any individual;
- make claims about features, prices, or discounts that do not match our current published terms;
- imply that you are an employee, agent, or official representative of SlopSquash, or that we endorse you or your other content; or
- use our name or logo in a way that suggests a partnership beyond the Program.
10.2 Trademark license. While you are a Creator we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the SlopSquash name and logo, unmodified, solely to promote the Service under these Program Terms. Do not register domains, handles, or trademarks containing "SlopSquash" or confusingly similar terms.
11. Prohibited methods
You must not, directly or through others:
11.1 Self-referral. Use your own Referral Link or Creator Code, or arrange for a household member, employee, or someone sharing your payment method or verified email domain and name, to purchase through it. Our systems detect and block self-referrals and log the attempt.
11.2 Paid search on our brand. Bid on "SlopSquash" or misspellings of it, or any of our product names, as keywords in any paid search or app-store advertising, or use them in ad copy or display URLs, or direct-link paid ads to slopsquash.com.
11.3 Coupon and deal sites. Post your Referral Link or Creator Code on coupon, voucher, cashback, deal-aggregator, or discount-code sites or forums, or in any listing whose primary purpose is to distribute discount codes.
11.4 Spam and unsolicited contact. Distribute your link or code by unsolicited email, direct messages, SMS, comments, forum posts, or any automated means; buy traffic from bot networks or click farms; or use link cloaking to disguise the destination.
11.5 Incentivized promotion. Offer or pay anything of value (cash, rebates, giveaways, contest entries, content unlocks) to people in exchange for subscribing through your link, other than the viewer offer we provide.
11.6 Misleading claims. Make false, unsubstantiated, or misleading statements about SlopSquash, its accuracy, its pricing, or competitors, including the claims listed in Section 10.1.
11.7 Cookie and attribution manipulation. Force, inject, or set the referral cookie without a genuine click on your Referral Link, iframe or auto-redirect to our landing page, or otherwise interfere with attribution.
11.8 Prohibited placements. Promote SlopSquash on sites or channels that contain unlawful content, hate speech, harassment, sexually explicit material, malware, or infringing content, or that target children.
11.9 Terms violations. Violate the SlopSquash Terms of Service, the terms of the platform you promote on, or any applicable law.
Any Commission earned through a prohibited method is forfeited, and we may recover amounts already paid.
12. Monitoring and investigation
We monitor referral traffic, conversions, refunds, and promotions. We may request information about your promotion methods and traffic sources, and you must respond within 10 business days. We may withhold Commissions while an investigation is open and may reverse Commissions if we conclude, acting reasonably, that they were earned in breach of these Program Terms.
13. Relationship of the parties and taxes
13.1 You are an independent contractor. Nothing in these Program Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, or franchise relationship. You have no authority to bind us, make representations on our behalf, or accept payments for us.
13.2 You are solely responsible for all taxes, social contributions, and filings arising from Commissions, including income tax, self-employment tax, and VAT or GST where applicable. Commissions are stated exclusive of any such taxes. If you are required to charge VAT or GST on your services to us, tell us in advance.
13.3 Tax identification and residency information is given to Stripe during payout onboarding under Section 8.1, and any information returns the law requires are prepared by Stripe under Section 8.6. You must give Stripe accurate information and update it when it changes. We do not receive your tax forms and cannot correct them; use your Stripe Express dashboard or contact Stripe.
13.4 You are responsible for your own equipment, expenses, and insurance, and for the content you produce.
14. Term, termination, and revocation
14.1 These Program Terms take effect when your application is approved and continue until terminated.
14.2 You may leave the Program at any time by emailing creators@slopsquash.com. We will deactivate your Referral Link and Creator Code and pay any approved Commission that reaches the minimum to your Connected Account within 90 days after termination, subject to Sections 7 and 8 (including Section 8.7 if you never completed Stripe onboarding). Leaving the Program does not close your Connected Account; that relationship is between you and Stripe.
14.3 We may suspend or terminate your participation immediately, with notice, if you breach these Program Terms or the Terms of Service, if your promotions harm our reputation, if your account is suspended, or if we are required to by law. Commissions earned in breach are forfeited. Commissions earned in compliance before termination are paid under the normal schedule once approved and above the minimum.
14.4 We may also terminate your participation without cause on 30 days notice. Approved Commissions are paid under Section 8; pending Commissions that become approved during the notice period are also paid.
14.5 On termination for any reason you must stop using the SlopSquash name and logo, remove or disable your Referral Link and Creator Code from your content within 14 days, and stop representing yourself as a Creator.
15. Changes to the Program
We may change these Program Terms, the viewer offer, the Commission rate, the hold period, the payout minimum, the payout schedule, the Creator Code inactivity period and reactivation amount, or any other aspect of the Program, or end the Program entirely, by giving you at least 30 days notice by email to the address on your account. Changes apply to Qualifying Sales that occur after the effective date of the change; Commissions on earlier sales are calculated under the terms in force when the sale occurred. Changes required by law or to prevent fraud may take effect sooner, and we will tell you why. Continued participation after the effective date means you accept the change.
16. Confidentiality
Non-public information we share with you about the Program, including conversion data for other Creators, unreleased features, and pricing plans, is confidential. You may share your own earnings publicly.
17. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Program is provided as-is. We do not guarantee any level of traffic, conversions, or earnings, and we do not warrant that the portal or attribution will be error-free. Sections 17 (Disclaimers), 18 (Limitation of liability), and 19 (Indemnification) of the Terms of Service apply to the Program, except that the liability cap for Program disputes is the greater of $50 or the total Commissions paid to you in the 12 months before the claim.
18. Disputes
Section 20 (Dispute resolution and binding arbitration) and Section 21 (Governing law) of the Terms of Service apply to any dispute arising out of the Program, including the informal resolution requirement, the individual arbitration agreement, the class action waiver, the small claims carve-out, and the 30-day opt-out.
19. Privacy
We process your application and payout data as described in Section 9 of the Privacy Policy. Stripe collects your identity, bank, and tax information directly during payout onboarding and processes it as an independent controller under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy and the Stripe Connected Account Agreement; we receive only your Connected Account identifier and its payout status. Financial records of conversions and payouts, including Stripe transfer identifiers, are retained for seven years for tax purposes even if you delete your account.
